The Singing OUT! Circle
At the close of each rehearsal, the members of the chorus form a circle and sing
a version of Holly Near’s Singing for our Lives. The words we use are:

Singing, singing for our lives
It is a powerful song that touches everyone who participates.
The Singing OUT! Circle is a group of individuals who support what it means for
us to be singing for our lives and the lives of all LGBT people (and the rest of
the alphabet soup of acronyms) by giving generous donations at the Bronze, Silver
and Gold levels.

Bequests - Making a Gift in your Will
A bequest in your Will may specify a certain sum of money, a particular asset, or
a portion of the estate to be donated to Singing OUT!. A bequest is an expression
of ongoing commitment to our chorus and to the legacy of the people who were not
always free to stand up and sing as openly LGBT people. Your gift will help ensure
that Singing OUT! remains financially secure, enabling us to perform and record
for generations to come.
Does Your Company Match Individual Donations?
If you have made an individual donation to Singing OUT!, the company you work for
may match that gift and make its own donation to the chorus. Check with your Human
Resources Department to see if your company supports the charitable giving of its
employees.

Corporate and small business support all make a difference to the quality of product
Singing OUT! is able to present and how far a field we are able to reach with our
message of Pride – Music - Belonging. Research on the spending power of Lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) consumers in Canada have shown that they have
estimated annual disposable income of more than $75 billion.(1) Other research shows
that they are more likely to have graduated from college/university (almost twice
as likely) and are more likely to purchase from companies that advertise in LGBT
